UroLift

What Is UroLift®?

UroLift® is a minimally invasive treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate. It works by lifting and holding the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way — so it no longer blocks urine flow.

Symptoms UroLift Can Help With:

  • Weak or slow urine stream

  • Feeling like you can’t fully empty your bladder

  • Starting and stopping during urination

  • Frequent need to go, especially at night

  • Urgent or difficult urination

Sound familiar? UroLift might be right for you.

How Does It Work?

During the procedure:

  1. A small device is placed through the urethra.

  2. Tiny implants are used to gently hold back the prostate tissue.

  3. This opens the urethra, allowing urine to flow freely again.

No incisions. No hospital stay. You’re typically in and out the same day.

What to Expect

Before:

  • No major preparation needed.

  • Your doctor may ask you to stop certain medications for a few days.

During:

  • Usually takes about 10–20 minutes.

  • Done in-office or outpatient surgery center.

  • Local anesthesia is used — you’re awake but comfortable.

After:

  • You may have mild burning or discomfort for a few days.

  • Some men experience temporary urgency or light bleeding.

  • Many return to normal activities in 2–3 days.

Benefits of UroLift:

  • Fast symptom relief

  • No ongoing medications

  • Preserves sexual function

  • Minimally invasive
